I will also be interested to see if there are any dentists, doctors or Indian Chiefs amount the bikers and what they are thinking right now.

Swanton has stated several times that the bikers shot at each other, and then the cops, so the cops returned fire. If all nine dead actually were killed by police, who were returning fire after being shot at, it doesn't say much for the bikers' firearm skills.

In any case, it's amazing that no police were wounded in the shootout, assuming they were actually being shot at.

Can somebody explain what mudchecking is?

I google it and it just links to about 10 TD threads where we are all shitting on Darth.

Come back to check this thread and it's pretty much exactly what I thought I'd find.

I just have to ask one thing, for all the hostility and scorn so many here have for me,and apparently bikers in general, what does it say about those of you who for no reason act like such rude dockheads to a guy you've never met, really don't know at all, and hasn't done anything to you? Where does that hostility come from?

This is going to get very interesting IF the police tried to break up a chain fight by shooting people. Of course the world is better off with nine less bikers so I wonder if anyone will care.

StrongSafety would agree, unless you replaced bikers with robbers or gang members, then he would launch a personal crusade to prove your racism.

I have no idea. I've always wondered why you get so much shite, when there are so many others on TD who consistently come across as complete and gigantic douchebags.

many shots were fired by LE, versus shots fired by the Bandidos and Cossacks. Potentially, this looks like it could be another case of police over-reaction

You need to read that part again, slowly, and let it sink in for a second
Only then could you possibly realize exactly how fricking dumb it sounds!

It's amazing, just like the Ferguson type bullshite, how thug POS criminals try to use platforms like these to come down on police. ETC would you do if you were a cop and you saw a man trying to stab or shoot another man. Especially when the man knows the cop's were there and didn't listen to their commands to stop?

Same as a bank robber shooting at customers, you kill the moron!

Every guy with a weapon that was killed was a potential murderer of another man.

So in my eyes, they saved 9 lives.....unfortunately.

Who cares if rioters or these POS are dead? We are better off as a society when it happens.

I haven't seen anybody ITT defending the MCs actions. Trying to figure out why, yes, but defending them, nope. If it turns out to be true that they were all killed by cops lying in wait, well that's changes the narrative a little, but I bet you still won't find us defending the clubs actions.

I've never had a beef with you. I just thought Cosmo's observation about googling mud checking was funny. I mean you take a lot of shite, but I think it's because you engage in arguments with posters like TH and the arguments go on for pages and pages. Kermit sipping tea meme

I saw a family being interviewed that was eating at a mexican restaurant sharing the same parking lot. I'm wondering if anybody here knows the layout of that area and whether there were civilians in close proximity. If there were people close by, this is what the cops will use to justify shooting the bikers.

Hey, dumbfrick, do you see the word "potentially" in that sentence?

If two bikers are shooting at one another and then the cops open fire on those two, killing them, and seven others, would you consider that to be an over-reaction? I'm guessing that isn't what happened in Waco, but I don't know what did happen, and neither do you.

It's very possible that LE was entirely justified in their reactions in this case. It's also possible that they weren't.

The area is a pretty large strip mall type layout with many restaurants and shops. Twin Peaks is on the far end near the Mexican place and a Cavenders. Go to google maps and search for West Loop 340 & Marketplace Dr. You can scroll over to the location from there; Twim Peaks is near the I-35 Frontage road.

A bunch of the 170 in jail did absolutely nothing wrong. They just happened to be at the event which in itself is not a crime.

On the flip side if you want to play Sons of Anarchy and hang out where you know there can be trouble, sometimes sitting in jail and getting your bike seized is an unfortunate part of it.

I am curious to see the ballistics evidence but I doubt the ATF will release an honest report. I'd wager a lot of money that most of the dead were from 5.56 rounds.

End of the day my take away is what it's always been, if you love riding enjoy the open road. If you want to play outlaw don't cry when outlaw shite happens to you.

I think in the long run this could benefit the area, the feds and state will hammer the criminal element of the bikers and a whole lot of posers are going to find a new hobby. Then the rest of us can get back to just enjoying some of the best riding in the country.

You've said it all here.

Maybe there were DARPA-supplied bullets that once fired were programmed to hit only asocial, overweight, functionally illiterate gangster hoodlums? That would account for zero LE casualties.

Doctors and Lawyers and otherwise nice people playing dress-up on motorcycles don't have to negotiate turf. Criminals do. To contend that the tiny amount of good that outlaw Biker Groups do by donating a few dollars or a few toys somehow outweighs the damage the extortion, drug trafficking and human toll they exact is insulting. They think themselves above the law as bullies in a pack.

Yeah we were laughing about this yesterday. I wonder how many were telling the cops as they were arrested "I'm not really a biker I just dress up like one and carry knives and chains to look cool"

We'll know if any were there because they'll be the only ones that can afford that bond.

Pretty much. I'd say 75% of Harley owners just want to wear Harley gear more than actually ride. Go check out Bikes Blues and BBQ sometime, it's a bunch of middle aged and old yuppies that trailer their bikes in and then ride a few miles around Fayetteville wearing dumb shite on their vests like "Biker for Life".

It's the same idiots that will tell someone on a Suzuki or Honda they aren't a real biker because it's not a Harley....yet they trailer their bikes anywhere farther than 50 miles away.
