I get it. You are biased. I lived it, as well as many of my friends. When MLK was assassinated, the threats to younger kids at my school by packs of older black kids were rampant. I could go on to further detail, but it would be wasted on you and those that think the only victims are black, and the only racists are white. back at ya.

The school just north of campus? I don’t believe your statistics, bc slow walking integration was why we got busing. BRHS had around 5 black students,and Joe Womack, the QB on the 1965 state champ team told me they were made miserable.
Here’s a LSU thesis that discusses the case in EBRP. Elementary school desegregation didn’t even start until 1967. And it was voluntary.

My point is not that blacks are victims, it’s that we are the authors of our own misery. By abandoning public schools, we created this mess. And the reason we abandoned them was not black violence, but racism. Now we are back to segregated schools, but they’re all black, and black violence is probably a valid complaint now.

Keep your head in the sand, Mung. I just checked and it was indeed 67, and 68, and if you are really interested in the truth, you should dig deeper to confirm what I said was 100% accurate about demographics at that school.
There were just 3 black kids in my 1st grade class, and just 3 white kids in my second grade class. It was incredible.
It wasn't just my grade, it was that whole school. University Terrace was completely different in 1968. Some people brought their kids to school the first day and never came back because of the circus atmosphere. It was incompressible.
Many did end up going to private schools because of the way the government botched this whole affair, and they wanted to be sure their kids were safe, and their education did not suffer.

Lemme guess, your parents moved y’all to Central, or just moved you into the Catholic school system, to protect you from all those violent elementary school thugs? Where’d you graduate high school? As mentioned before, I graduated from Baker High, when it was 50/50.

Wrong, smug. My parents were middle class. It was public schools all the way for me. Walnut Hills where I got to see a petite little white teachers ear rings ripped out and bleeding from breaking up a racial fight, bathrooms taken over by blacks and not allowing whites in, and then Westjail where it was probably 60/40, and then Tara. I got to see it in all it's glory. Now frick off.

Weird how the bruthas in Baker were so much nicer. We never had a problem with violence. And we curb stomped Tara in the playoffs, prolly because they were still too rich whitey in 1984. Even less integrated when you were there.
