Isn’t the tax assessor going into overtime to jack up tax rates in Orleans?
Latoya was defeated heavily in her most recent tax proposals that were on the ballot.

I’m not talking about the taxes on the ballots.
I’m talking about the valuation of properties by the assessor of Orleans Parish.
The rates and flat taxes change via votes. The amount that the tax is calculated off of is based off what the assessor thinks the property is worth. And my understanding is that all the white areas got fricked in their valuation this year.

Lauren Daigle representing NOLA or even Louisiana would have been false advertising. This plan lets the world really see the kind of shite the natives enjoy.

Yes they have been quietly increasing the mileage rates in Orleans Parish the last few months. If you haven't sold your
"This summer, the Orleans Parish assessor finished evaluating the remaining properties. For many, a higher tax bill awaits.
Nearly 28,750 properties will see an increase this year in their tax assessment from the Orleans Parish Property Assessor, according to an analysis of property records by The Times-Picayune | The New Orleans Advocate.
Of the properties that saw their assessments go up, nearly 8,500 saw an increase of more than 50% and more than 4,000 saw their values at least double.
Most of the reassessments this year are Uptown along a broad stretch from the Central Business District and past Audubon Park. There are also some Mid-City neighborhoods impacted."

you get what you vote for NOLA
I’m sure this and Latoya’s other idiocy this year is surely to bring the tourism industry back and stabilize NOLA’s economy.
What a shithole

No wonder these people don't work or work just enough.
Have the government pay for your house and food, take the rest and buy shoes, weed and tobacco.
When things don't go your way just cry racism.

Property taxes have gone up.
I know several people that sold during the pandemic because if this. They just came on Tuesday to reassess the property I'm currently at.
Funny thing is the black folks will have you believe they are trying to push black folk out. Nah, just anyone that can't afford it.

For anyone from Nungesser's office that might be looking to continue the pissing match, they might want to research who performed at The Hangover Bar (and now restaurant) on July 17th of this year.

Except for Jason Williams' mansion on St. Charles Avenue. That assessment went down.

Not that he was going to pay taxes on it anyway

I've never seen this board so Transphobic before when discussing Big Freedia. Has LaToya done that much damage to us that we can't celebrate a big Twerking win for Big Freedia?

I bet Sao, Spleen, and Oweo are celebrating this taxpayer funded diversity inclusion on national display. If not attending and participating,

Everything about this is a crapshow.
So, Lt. Governor Billy was willing to spend 500K on this - 500K of the state's money - for Lauren Daigle to hose, but not willing to spend it for Big Freedia to host.
Cantrell was willing to spend 500K on this for Big Freedia to host, but not for Lauren Daigle.
