I want to wait until school gets back in, but the metairie traffic is awesome now that they opened up 2 new lanes on 10

When i used to live in St. Louis, barring an accident, traffic during rush hour moved steadily. Was able to drive 70 on the way to work, and close to that on the way home

Omaha was surprisingly lacking traffic the week I went. What's even more surprising is that Omaha has more than 400,000 people.

Do you have a helicopter?

I have never really had trouble in Cleveland, if you consider that a big city

Pop quiz: what does Shreveport have that helps traffic that BR doesn't?
a loop?
a bridge that doesn't narrow a major cross country interstate to one fricking lane?

Half the population of San Antonio i saw were passed out drunks that dont drive, which led to less traffic.

ssh I have to work very hard to make sure the Dear Reader doesn't have to wait in traffic.

San Antonio - rarely had any trouble that didn't involve an accident or construction.
St. Louis - I am sure white flight has helped, but traveling to and from downtown on interstates wasn't much trouble when I have been.
Colorado Springs - big city only in population I guess...but it doesn't have a big city feel at all...including traffic.
Omaha - busy freeways, but constantly moving.
Albuquerque - been several times and don't ever find much traffic.

Phoenix, it's a shame all pro teams can't be in downtown though.

Then you spend the next 4 days stuck on Essen...

Miami is shite. My drive to work is 45 mins. My drive home is 1:45-2hrs @ 5.

completely anecdotal, but I never have problems driving around Philly no matter what time of day it is

I'd like to throw Tampa into this discussion. Trying to get over to St. Pete from the north side of town was always murder. God help you if you have an accident.

Jacksonville really wasn't bad.

Interesting contrast between Kansas City (which, I agree, is pretty good) and St. Louis (which is relatively horrific.)

I came to this thread to post about how good the traffic is in Pittsburg. Portland, OR isn't bad as well.
