Do these idiots not realize that our current power grid cannot handle this?
If they want to even attempt this, stop sending money to Ukraine and upgrade our country’s infrastructure.

Not surprising. I've been saying it for awhile. I'm not against EVs, but I am against the government forcing us to own one, which is what's ultimately going to happen.
This is what EV fan boy’s fail to understand.
Drive your EV, just keep the govt out of my fricking garage.

As I’ve said before, I’m not against EVs on principal but considering how shitty our electric grid is in some places this is putting the cart before the horse.
And they can frick off with forcing me to give up my gas powered car that’s paid off. Talk about serious tone deafness with the current state of automobile sales (new and used).

They already put mileage requirements on manufacturers which is why we have all of this stupid crap like auto start/stop etc.
I just bought a 2019 Camry and it doesn't have that. It's not an option that is turned off, it simply doesn't have it. I'm glad, but why is that? It must not be required and I thought it was too,

They aren't a suitable replacement for me at this time. I have no desire to own one. Guess I'll just buy a new truck in the next 4-5 years and keep getting it fixed.

They put it in a lot of vehicles to squeeze 1/4 mpg out of them. It's also the reason you see a lot more turbos on motors in big trucks and SUVs. Just more shite to break.
Obama did that with his CAFE standards.

I’m loving my Tesla. No more stopping at gas stations to fill up and the car charges in my garage overnight. When I wake up the cabin temp is set to 69 for my departure time

Ok, I guess my 4 cyl Camry already gets great gas mileage so it's not necessary. For some reason, I thought all new cars had that bullshite. I planned to disable it immu.

I’m amazed people have been so conditioned to be so retarded they accept the federal government has this power

I have no real desire to own a sedan. That electric F150 is a joke and stupid expensive too. The range on those things is a no go for me.

Familiarize your self with cafe standards
On Friday, April 1, 2022, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg unveiled new CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards for 2024-2026 model year passenger cars and light-duty trucks. These new standards will require new vehicles sold in the US to average at least 40 miles per gallon. This change comes at nearly a 43% increase from the previous standard of approximately 28 mpg, undoing the Trump Administration’s rollback of Obama-era standards in 2020. For model years 2024-2025, the new standards will increase fuel efficiency annually by 8% and 10% annually for model year 2026.

First gas stoves, then washing machines, and now this? I didn't think it was possible to hate Democrats more than I already do but I guess I was wrong.
