You're gonna have to lay it out more clearly for these knuckleheads.

Not yet it isn’t.

there are future fortunes that will be made by investing correctly, and maybe a bunch of doubles and triples even if you don't make the best moves, in the market during this downturn

Agreed, but the tide is still going out so you are fighting a lot of current trying to profit until that changes.

You could probably extend that to mid 50’s, not just under 50.

Ehhh maybe. You are waaay too optimistic. The market has gone sideways for a decade before.

You said housing prices weren’t going to go down. It looks like that was a bad prediction.

If you are over 50 you may want to hold until we get some more clarity with where the democrats are going with this country. If they go all in on climate change bullshite you aren’t seeing GDP growth to pull us out of this hole and you could be looking at a decade of stagnation before we get our heads out our arse.

This also assumes the market recovers. It probably will, but we all know at some point it won't. I'm just keeping my contributions the same to my index funds and letting it ride.

Right up until the Great Reset, which is a lot closer than most people are to 50

You don't want to completely get out of "wall street". Well, it depends. Are you doing your own trading or are you talking about your retirement? If you are thinking long term, right now is the time to buy (well you can watch it to see if tings go down more, etc.. Whatever) but buy EV related stocks. ChargePoint is a good one to invest in, but put some in a ROTH.

Land is always a good investment.

You can get in the drug game, that will have your quickest return, but lots of risk involved.

Buy one of those Kona Ice deals. Im pretty sure you can pay for it after a year. Parents rent them for their kids parties, etc. Bring it anywhere they have kids.

Fireworks have a crazy return.
