Better Fireworks - L'Auberge Extravaganza or WBRZ's Fireworks on the Mississippi?

Pulled the short straw and got nominated to take 4-5 teens to see fireworks tomorrow night. I see that there are shows at both L'Auberge and WBRZ's annual Fireworks on the Mississippi.
I'd probably prefer heading south, since it's farther from NBR. On the other hand, if the WBRZ firework show is demonstrably better, I'd just deal with the area's denizens. It has probably been 40+ years since I've attended a professional firework show, so I'll defer to the OT's collective wisdom on which is the better choice.
Oh, and for your troubles:

If I have to go and see the downtown fireworks I watch them from the port Allen side.

I went to the L'Auberge fireworks show last year and spent 1 hours trying to leave the parking lot because they didnt care about that part.
Will not be back this year.

We haven't been in years, but was thinking about taking our toddler aged nieces and nephew. If anybody has any advice on where to go on the Port Allen side, I would be appreciate it.
Thanks

Third option is going to New Orleans. We parked at Jax brewery, walked right over the levee to watch, and it was easy to get out. The Essence crowd was non-existent. They're mostly down by the Convention Center and the bridge.

Friend if my grandma's in florida had a boat and we went and watched fireworks one year. They shoot them over the water so be prepared for firework ash to fall on you.
Also same boat, one of the scariest times if my life. The boat was a 17' typical ski boat. Not a wake board boat. Open front, inboard outboard deal. Going out the Ft Pierce inlet from the intercoastal to the ocean. Definitely not enough boat and with like 5 or 6 people in it probably maxed out. Turned around mostly on the face of a wave and went back to the intercoastal. If we continued it def would be a halover inlet fail situation.
