Really like the image on weather channel that starts this video comparing the path to the storm

That would be pretty far NE of the NHC track
Outside of the cone? No way

At this point, maybe the comet should just hit now instead of December 31st.

If that path holds true, at least it looks to be moving through the LC area pretty fast. So much uncertainty on this storm, though.

That track is not a cone.
It looks like one of Tom Brady’s deflated footballs.

Just let me know where ground zero is. I want to be there.

I just checked the water levels in Terrebonne.
So far looking good. Winds are still coming out of the North.
You can check the levels at the levee district’s website: https://www.tlcd.org/mobile/.
The Bubba Dove Floodgate was still at 1 foot.

Sunrise over a naked swirl
Through 90hrs, the 06z HWRF and Euro are basically the same and take Beta inland to near Austin.

Will the rain stay inside the cone?

Based on the radar this morning these rainfall projections are way underestimated.

The 2020 Atlantic hurricane season has now generated 90 ACE (Accumulated Cyclone Energy). That’s more than the ACE generated in 34 full Atlantic #hurricane seasons since 1950. ACE is integrated metric accounting for intensity and duration of storms:
#Teddy #Wilfred #Beta

Download Google Earth

Unless you have zero knowledge of 3rd grade southern US geography, that’s the way to go.
Here’s your one time example
Thank you Sir. I had tried that on Google Maps but it wouldn’t let me compute distance to a point in the middle of GOM. ( or more likely it was my lack of knowledge )
Google Earth made it easy. I’m going to start using it more than GoogleMaps.
I actually have a very good understanding of world geography. I got a world globe for Christmas when I was five. Spent many enjoyable hours spinning that thing. Then I would look up the place’s in our encyclopedias. I would do the same with National Geographic magazines. I have read every National Geographic that was printed.
I really enjoy having all the stuff at my fingertips on an iPad. Thanks again.

GFS is on a bender. HWFR and HMON have been much better with these whacky storms this years. Euro and GFS not so much.
