So how many combined hours has at least some portion of Louisiana been under a TS/Hurricane watch or warning this season?
350

Again, just a curiosity of model watching but that's Beta still hanging out in the western gulf next weekend. Somehow having the second trough leave it behind and sandwiched between two ridges pushing in opposite directions.
So really easy forecast here obviously.
It's still there Monday the 28th and I mean hasn't moved from the above position, making this one of the most unique model runs I've seen since the pong between Brownsville and the Yucatan this morning.

It's just going to be a semi-permanent low now. Kinda like the Aleutian low.
You know climate change and everything

Is this latest GFS killing it due to dry air wrapping in upun re-entering the gulf? Not sure what’s happening there.

That GFS run just has it sitting in the same spot forever. Clearly it became sentient and decided to sniff some coke.

Harvey was a lot stronger than this is expected to be and I don't think it's going to be dropping 50" of rain.
Slow rain maker for sure but not all slow rain makers are Harvey.

Starting to see the slowdown and veering to the left as forecast in the last few frames...

All I will say is that I should have stayed in the weather thread.
