Good point. Kubrict was cool as frick about that. gave me a script for One Lortab and a Valium to take before. He got delayed and i was in waiting room an extra 2 hours. I walked up and was able to get them to hand me another lortab and valium. I was a giggling fool by time my pants came down.
Then I got a #30 script of the Lortab 10s which I needed maybe 10-15.

Had mine done by Hellstrom at Tulane. Was somewhat sore after but was ok with Ibuprofen. FYI, this guy requires consent from you and your wife before performing the procedure

Similar to mine. I had to drive myself so I didn’t take the Valium, but I appreciated the doctor’s offer. It’s the thought that counts. I have good insurance and expect good modern meds, so don’t send me away with frickin ultram and a pack of frozen peas to sit on.

I'd find the best one close to you. It's not a complicated enough surgery to warrant a drive of any distance. Unless you live in New Iberia or something. I made husbands appt with Jeff Thibodeaux in Lafayette. My personal observation was that he was a very small man. His nurse was very cool and feels like she can tell you about how it's no big deal she has assisted with snipping her son in laws and other close random family members. They do give out Valium if you ask and husband got a decent script to recover with. Oh. And it worked. He cuts a segment of the vas out. That way less likely to heal together. And he burns the ends. I watched. It was glorious.

This times 1000. A couple of bags of frozen peas are the ticket. I had a friend that didn't take it easy over the weekend after surgery and ended up with one of his balls the size of a grapefruit. Couldn't wear anything other than scrubs and sweats for several weeks. I did mine during football season and me and the frozen peas spent the weekend in the recliner watching games. Good to go by Monday.

Mine gave me a script for Percs. 2 weeks before the procedure! Sure was awkward when I told him I'd "lost" them and needed another bottle.

When your wife goes off birth control you might get a very nice surprise as to how much that suppresses her drive.
And if you're smart you'll negotiate a few things before getting clipped.
