It sounds like a driver problem and not a tire problem.

Good year duratracs. I can't stress it enough.

Great on wet roads. Amazing in snow. Decent in mud. Great in rocks.

Last 70k.

BFG KO2s is the answer. The 4runner forums will point you to those generally. I have a brand new set on my rig and recommend them

Ko2’s

That's the right answer. I have them on mine and they are great. Quiet on the highway, awesome traction off road, good in the rain, good for 70k miles, and pretty good in snow. Also, not super heavy.

Goodyear SJW’s

Won't buy em again but I got 80k miles on my wrangler at with Kevlar sidewalls. Lots of offroad miles and no punctures yet

I think this is likely as well. I don't have personal experience with them, but that I've noticed that is brought up with KO2s a lot. Just google "KO2 hydroplane" or "KO2 slippery"

(I checked the same phrase with other tires and did not see as many results)

I went with the Firestone Destination A/T. Didn't need a super burly mud tire, but wanted some off-road capability that performed OK on the road. No complaints.

All I can tell you is I drive them on both a Toyota Land Cruiser and a GMC Sierra on mountain roads in snow and wet conditions and have never had a problem. I wish I could put them on my wife’s Volvo

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac. Hands down the best tire I’ve ever owned. I’ve had about 6 sets on three vehicles and loved them. As soon as the tires on my expedition wear down I’ll be getting a new set of Duratracs.

Those look like the factory silver aluminum rims. How did you get them black like that? plastidip?

Just make sure you look at the pressure on the door...

Seriously, it kinda depends on your goal...do want agressive look/performance or nice ride?
