Honda Pilot. Great vehicle
In essence, it is a Honda Accord with a lift kit, it rides on an Accord chassis.
That may be good or bad depending on the buyer.

Bought the wife one in 2013 because that's what she wanted. its got around 40K miles on it and honestly we haven't had a single problem with it yet. I will say anyone with a newborn (we bought her's right before the baby was born) a rear facing car seat will push the front seat almost all the way up. We learned that the hard way since we didn't have the carseat when we bought it.

I was being realistic with my recommendation since I'm very familiar with the LC/LX.
I agree they're the best. I'm trying to trade my 2011 cayenne for a 2009 or so Land Cruiser. Only trouble is there are less than 10 for sale in the country now and the well-priced ones get snapped up the day they go on sale.

The very best is the Toyota Land Cruiser, but they're $85,000

Saw no mention of Toyota RAVs or Honda CRVs. What's the deal on them?

Audi Q5 3.0 or a SQ5 won't be disappointed

No love for the BMW X5 in here. Not even one suggestion. My dad is on his 5th one. I like em a lot as well.
Sporty, comfortable, but like all Bimmers they're a little plain on the inside compared to some(which I don't mind).

The X5 is super nice but the quality is poor and repairs are expensive. People I know with them are always in the shop for some little thing or another.
For that size/price I'd get a GX460 and have an actual off-road capable vehicle with bulletproof quality instead of a unibody car with a lift that breaks a lot.

Dang. DadWafer hasn't had a problem with any of his outside of anything he caused.

If you want to take it off road, and get some "Sport Utility" in your SUV, then there is no choice but the Toyota 4runner
Grand Cherokee and Tahoe Z71 are also good choices with more off road capability and towing capacity than all the hideous crossovers around.
I'd also say Sequioa but it's been a while since Toyota updated them.
I don't see the point of the new Pilot, Explorer, or Pathfinder. They are minivans with doors that open out instead of sliding back.

I think the 2017 Sequoias will be completely redesigned.
