I like the looks of the Range Rover evoque....but have no idea if it's worth a shite or not. Considering buying one, but haven't entered the "research" phase on it yet.

Crossovers have zero functionality.
Stupidiest idea ever. You get a micronomism of extra room for luggage or storage
Just pick a sedan or suv. If I had a family I would buy an XC90. They are great vehichles
4 runners are great too but you get a better ride and luxury in the Volvo.

You might like it but Range Rovers are pretty much the shittiest cars made on the planet. Talk about all hat and no cattle; shite will be breaking left and right after five years and cost 5 times as much to fix as anything else. The up keep alone will kill you on these shite stains. pretty much only gangster rappers and euro trash should be driving these.

Saw no mention of Toyota RAVs or Honda CRVs. What's the deal on them?

SUV? just pony up for the minivan, they have everything you're looking for at 1/3 the cost...
Unless you plan on jeepin'
Props to the FJ, it can tolerate the easy trails.
Eta my phone only recognizes XJ, I have to override to type in Toyota initials

Depends what you want out of it...
If you want to take it off road, and get some "Sport Utility" in your SUV, then there is no choice but the Toyota 4runner.
If you just want an oversized luxury vehicle that's terrible on gas, then the Audi Q7 would be my pick.

My wife just bought the qx60, i don't care for it. The thing left her stranded within a week of purchase. She bought the middle model and there are small things that i just can't believe it does not come with for a supposed luxury vehicle(thats what the salesman called the brand).

I agree. Practically every vehicle listed in this thread have been crossovers, not SUVs. Nothing wrong with crossovers, but they aren't SUVs and will ride much different. Just depends on what you want.
