I think the 2017 Sequoias will be completely redesigned.
Owned a 2004 Sequoia Limited. Best damned SUV I have ever owned. Traded it in at the height of the nearly $5/gal gas prices.
I really want a 4Runner. I love the look of a "pure" SUV and do not need a larger vehicle now that my kids have grown.

2016 Range Rover Supercharged is pretty tight so far.

Audi Q5 3.0 or a SQ5 won't be disappointed

I like everything about the 4Runner except the front end.
I think that Chevrolet is bringing a nicer version of their Colorado 7 SUV to the US and that Ford may do the same with the Everest.

MrsWafer drives a 2015, we like it a lot.

Jeep Grand Cherokee is in the same class of vehicles as the Murano, and a step up...
I always recommend the Toyota Highlander to anyone I talk to. For us, it has been a fantastic and reliable vehicle, with a lot of standard features.

Can't say enough good about the 4runner. Wife has '15 Limited 4WD. Thing is great.

Just got the '16 Acura MDX. We like it so far after 500 miles.

Options are limited for anything with decent offroad capabilities now that the Nissan Xterra and Toyota FJ are no longer made. Most SUV's/crossover's nowadays are just glorified minivans. I'll probably pony up for a 4-runner whenever my Xterra dies.
I just want something I can throw the dog and camping shite in for a week that can handle snow and trails. Is that too hard to ask without dropping 40K lol

gas mileage sucks.

Yeah unless Ford brings the Everest to the US, the only quasi affordable real SUV is the 4Runner. Everything else is either super expensive (Land Cruiser, LX, GX, the insanely over-priced Tahoe, Land Rovers/Range Rovers which break constantly) or a just minivan without sliders being called an "SUV".

What 4wd vehicle with offroad capability has good MPG's?

Gonna replace our Nissan Murano. Looking for something similar, maybe a little fancier, maybe a crossover.
So a station wagon that looks like an SUV.
Highlander?

The Highlander is the best thing that fits that description.

So if I'm looking for a higher end luxury SUV, how do the Range Rovers, Mercedes, Audi's etc stack up against each other when comparing looks, bells and whistles, etc?

Yes

the 2017 Nissan Armada looks interesting and will be another option for a "true" suv to compete with the 4-runner. Still to GD expensive though
