Gonna be in town this weekend. Stay in FQ and looking to get in a couple 4-6 miles runs.

If I want to run the length of St. Charles, should I start in the FQ or somehow get to Lee Circle to start the run? How would it be jogging to Lee Circle from Toulouse?

Any other good running paths where we won't get mugged? Does the one along the river stretch from the FQ all the way North to the river bend area?

For the thrill of a lifetime and great workout, I suggest running the entirety of North Claiborne Ave. at about 2 am after stopping and having a Monsoon at Port of Call first.

I heard there's a half marathon coming up. You should run that course

Go to the back end of the quarter and run up Esplanade. It dead-ends into city park. It also intersects St. Johns Bayou so you could run that if you wanted to. It's 2.5 miles from the quarter to city park down Esplanade one way. Running to the park and back is 5 miles.

It looks a little sketchy going across Claiborne but I never have any issues.

Enjoy your run...

We used to run down Convention Center Blvd, take a right at Julia, go to St. Charles and take a left to Lee Circle. We were finishing a long run and that was early so it wasn't bad at all. Coming back might be hectic with traffic depending how far you go.

Yes to Esplanade.
Could also take the Lafitte Greeneay down to Bayou St John and through city park

Catch the Algiers ferry. Run to the Gretna court house. It's along the river and paved.

But seriously, your best bet is to start at Lee Circle and run down St. Charles toward Audubon Park. That's about as safe as you can get. Or just go to Audubon park and run around the very long running/walking trail. Great nature scenery and female scenery there.

Honestly, I would use the Strava app and find some routes on there.

That's what I was thinking.

Is it possible to run from Audubon Park down to the FQ area along the River or vice versa?
