Wait... what?

I was dressed as partyboy for halloween.

It was the best ice breaker I could think of.

In retrospect, I was about 260lbs at the time, it was a cold night, and my body hadn't seen the sun in a few months.

She said it showed confidence, a sense of humor, and in my furry thong I looked like a Viking

Mine is a bartender at a restaurant... chatted her up over some beers, told her she was cute, she have gave me her number without asking for it

That simple

The best place would be an abortion clinic, you know she's not into the whole commitment thing, and you know she puts out

She's probably vulnerable at that point, so brownie points are easy to rack up

Church is a pretty solid place to meet quality chicks that might be relationship worthy.

I met mine in school at UT. She thought I was kind of a jerk so I just ignored her. I actually "dated" 3 of her good friends in school (and a few other random sorority sisters of hers). She told some of her friends that she didn't like my attitude and that she wasn't the least bit interested in me.

We're getting married in a couple of months.

There are many women. They tend to check in during the lunch thread.

It may sound cheesy, but that's how it happened. In fact I was so sure she was the one that I was hesitant to ask her out on a date because I knew when I did my days of being a single dude were over.

And I was right. We hung out in group settings for a few weeks and finally went out to dinner and a movie (Steak & Ale and Romeo & Juliet) one Friday night. We were engaged about a month later.

And I know that sounds awful quick to some here, especially the young single crowd. And to be honest, at the time when I was single, it seemed quick to me. But at the same time I knew I'd never been more sure of anything in my wife more than I wanted her to be the mother of my children. The old saying is true. When you know, you know.

It is quite shocking when that moment happens.

Just check for a ring and make sure to talk to them before following them out to their car.

I hear ya. Proves what I was saying about "when you know, you know". And you knew you had to do whatever it took to catch her eye. It worked so good for you.

Trust me. It struck me like a lightning bolt out of a blue sky. I was a young single guy. I'd just come off active duty. Bought me a house, got a job. I was adiment I was going to enjoy being a young single guy. Had zero intention of even having a semi-serious girlfriend. Didn't want one.

Then I met her and all that flew right out the window. It's crazy, I know. But I knew after that first night I knew was meant to spend the rest of my life with her. I was as sure of this as I was sure the sun rises in the east. Luckily the feeling was mutual. It's the best decision I've ever made.
