I would get really annoyed when people would ask when I was going to propose. I'd be like "um...when I'm ready. When I feel like it."

Here in NC it used to be the women's room. It is a crap shoot (no pun) now...You might run into anyone in there.

Thanks. And it's true. We've built a life together. And she's been by my side unflinching all these years through thick and thin. She's my rock. The love and strength she's shown in just the last several months (not to mention through the years) towards me and the family we've built is amazing. I'd be lost without her.

Trust me. It struck me like a lightning bolt out of a blue sky. I was a young single guy. I'd just come off active duty. Bought me a house, got a job. I was adiment I was going to enjoy being a young single guy. Had zero intention of even having a semi-serious girlfriend. Didn't want one.

Then I met her and all that flew right out the window. It's crazy, I know. But I knew after that first night I knew was meant to spend the rest of my life with her. I was as sure of this as I was sure the sun rises in the east. Luckily the feeling was mutual. It's the best decision I've ever made.

Sounds like a great gal, my friend.

The best place would be an abortion clinic, you know she's not into the whole commitment thing, and you know she puts out

Better wrap it up though! Women are highly fertile the first few weeks after having an abortion

Well, we didn't get home until almost 9 last night due to my daughter's softball game. As for what I watched on TV, it was episode II of the American Experence World War I special on PBS. It's really good, you should try it out.

ETA: I'll be watching baseball tonight.

I know a lot of people think I'm some kind of monster or something because I don't think men should have to sleep on the couch after arguments. But my fiance has been like my best friend for the past 4/5 years. She's very witty. Which is super rare with chicks. When we first started talking I would say some crazy shite to her and she would banter with me without missing a beat. The majority of stuff I say on here, I say to her too. She'll either laugh or try to check me. We both have a lot of respect for each other so it just works.

Nah, I just avoided the whole issue by not being in the country about half the time courtesy of the US Army.

That sounds a lot like us. We also can just sit and not feel the need to chit-chat all the time. Instead we can and do just enjoy being together, even if it's just sitting in bed at night reading a book. I guess this is something that develops over the years.

And I'll tell you something else, if you want to see the true feelings your SO has, see how they treat you in rough times like when life knocks your arse in the dirt. It's in the hard times a relationship's mettle is tested. And I can say for a fact the love she has for me is solid as the Rock of Gibraltar. I'm a blessed dude.
