I had injuries to both knees in separate accidents about six months apart and went to Dr. Bacilla in Opelousas. Both injuries happened in Baton Rouge but had several people tell me to go to him. Very personable guy and explained everything better then I probably needed. Five years later and I couldn't be happier with how my recovery from both injuries went.

Separately prayers for your son, thats not something I would wish on anyone.

Just go see a chiropractor or optometrist. They're the exact same thing as a real doctor.

You wouldn't wish torn knee ligaments on a kid? Catholics are awesome.

Thanks. We are heading to the doc this morning. We had a doctor on site and said to just wait until today to see a specialist. Knee buckled pretty bad. He heard a pop. Oh and very little contact to the upper body. Wasn't hit on the knee at all.

Adam Perry is pretty damn strong. He's in La Orthopedic Special (LOS). He's also in the 're with 6 other specialists

I'm sure this is a fine orthopedic but Baton Rouge has some very good ones as well so I'm not sure the reason to travel. Ricardo Rodriquez will be scoping my right knee later today. He did my left in 07. A good group there.

Good luck with Rodriguez. Chip Bankston is the knee guy in that group...

Well considering he averages 6 knees a week, he already did one for me 8 years ago and it's a minor meniscus tear to clean up, I guess I'll just have to take my chances.

But thanks for your concern Dr. AltF4.

Dr Griffith in Baton Rouge. The best. I've been a rehab nurse for 20 years and could not tell you how many knee surgeries I've seen.

I see you're butt hurt. Will you tell us how exactly I seem to have rustled your jimmies?

In either case, I'm not saying the guy is a bad doctor, just that Bankston specializes in the knee and would have been the guy I chose.

Sorry that

A) happened to your son (truly)
B) you come here for serious medical advice (kinda truly)
C) I don't have a Hovercar yet (slightly off topic)

I don't trust people without real last names.

You never know when your being introduced if the name is finished.

"This is Dr. Adam Perry."
"Hi Dr. Perry, nice to meet you."
"My name is Dr. Godchaux, Doctor Adam Perry Godchaux. My high school friends call me "Adam Perry". You may not."
