re: Looks like a fatality at Airline and Goodwood - ClarkGriswold on 6/16/17 at 8:30 am
Physics- force, momentum, and angles. I saw this happen once in Lafayette on Pont de Mouton Road as I was traveling north on I-49. A car (vehicle 1) was headed west on Pont de Mouton Road when another car (vehicle 2) pulled out into the intersection from the service road. Vehicle 1 tried to swerve ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Flowtron bug zapper - bulb pulsating between blue and orange - ClarkGriswold on 1/14/17 at 12:32 pm
It's the bulb based on my experience. I have two that I've had for over 5 years and replaced the bulbs only twice in each, but that is exactly what the bulbs did before going out. Sucks the bulb didn't last longer but it's more than likely a fluke. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Mike VI Appreciation Thread. - ClarkGriswold on 10/11/16 at 9:01 pm
I started attending LSU football games in the late 70's with my grandparents. I still get goosebumps recalling the incredible "roar" Mike IV would let out when he circled the stadium during pregame. When the trailer entered the stadium, the crowd generally quieted down in anticipation and once he ...

re: What to do with flooded guns? - ClarkGriswold on 8/27/16 at 6:51 pm
Agreed. Break them down and clean as best you can. The worst part may be any wooden components, stock etc., but there are people who can do wonders with ruined wood. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Old Jefferson flooding? - ClarkGriswold on 8/14/16 at 10:47 am
My sister and her family live on Associate. I haven't been able to contact them directly this morning, but I did get word from my SIL that they evacuated this morning around 3. And according to my sister's neighbor, there was 3-4 inches of water in their house at daybreak. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: **Update - Plane crash off coast in Destin, Fl. Pilot from Louisiana killed - ClarkGriswold on 8/3/16 at 7:18 am
Damn, I knew that man. He was suppose to fly myself and some friends on a trip last year, but we had a change of plans. He was a pilot for some of the physicians I know in Lafayette so now I'm trying to find out who went to Florida. He was always friendly, a good dude. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Marcus Luttrell - ClarkGriswold on 7/18/16 at 9:13 pm
I tell you what big guy, when Marcus's stepson starts classes at LSU, why don't you ask him to set up a meeting between you and Mr. Luttrell. You don't have the balls to repeat what you said to his face let alone the sand to serve this country like he did. ETA: And I'm not referring to the "exa...

re: For Lafayette/Acadiana People: How do you pronounce Verot School Road? - ClarkGriswold on 5/4/16 at 10:29 pm
I've lived off of Verot School Road for over 11 years and it depends on who you ask. The older locals pronounce it vey or vay row, the "t" is silent which makes sense considering the French heritage. But the most common pronunciation is vey rot. I tend to use the old French pronunciation ftr. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
