Haydel's is by far the best. I believe they are sold out for shipping though.

Randazzo's usually comes smashed to shite and ends up being a gooey disgusting mess.

Try this LINK

Haydel's, Gambino's, and Poupart's are the first three listed but all of them should be fine...but not to sure about the vegan.

Look into Duong Phong. They are a highly regarded Vietnamese bakery that has been in the city for 30+ years.

Their kink cakes are always on ranking lists, and they come in a giant ziplock which I think would help freshness when shipped.

That's probably because of the shipper in one instance. We had a king cake delivered by Randazzo's with no issues a few years ago. Plan on doing the same thing this year.

Tagging on, because I'd like to order a king cake for my company. I grew up on Meche's king cakes out of Lafayette. The ones that are deep fried and soaked in glaze. Do any of these king cakes compare to that, or are all of these baked/dry? Shipping it to Colorado, so any bread products become extra dry here.

I just ordered one from the Meche’s in Lafayette and it was “ok” at best. The Meche’s in Morgan City was waaaay better when it was open. M Randazzo’s had already stopped selling for the year..dammit.
