I’ve ALWAYS loved anything “helicopter” and when drones started to become “consumer affordable”, I bought a, maybe $250ish(?), drone and loved it. Still have it. The “flying time” was my only gripe (maybe ~12-15min?) and this was several years ago... I’m certain that the tech has evolved and there are quality drones now with longer “flight times”, but I can’t seem to find a reasonably priced model, with a decent flight time, for under $500!

Any “drone guys” here that might make a suggestion or two on where to start my search? Trying to get pointed in the right direction as opposed to wading through all the bullshite reviews/ads/etc.

I was on YouTube earlier and an ad came up for the “Blade720” and it claims to be a high quality drone for a cheap drone price... they also said that they “don’t spend money on advertising”, but I found them through an ad on YouTube... so now I’m wondering about the accuracy of the video/ad content.

I’m not trying to do anything special with it. I just like to fly.

TIA

I like my predator. A bit pricey though.

You should use more "quotes" in your stories, it really makes them "pop"

You should be able to get a Phantom 3 or 4 for $500. They are the best around for the price.

All of this. Bought myself this setup for Christmas. Comes with 3 batteries and everything you need to fly. Only thing you need to get is an SD card.

I agree with this, I got one for Xmas and its pretty amazing. I would recommend getting extra batteries and the battery charger kit as 30 min goes by pretty fast. It's very automated which makes it pretty easy to use.

I've got a Spark, not sure if they even make them anymore since the Mavic Mini came out. That being said, go with the Mini.

Bought this as my first drone about a month ago. Got the fly more package. Couldn't be happier.

Why not just ask your neighbor if you can peek into her windows? Would be cheaper than the drone.
