In the market for a truck. I don't have anything outrageous to tow so I'm leaning towards those new Colorados although I'm not opposed to a Silverado if the price is right.

Where would be the best place to go in town for a deal? Or would I be better off looking in the New Orleans metro? I'm also not opposed to traveling as far as Houston if the deal is worth it.

Just use the internet, find every dealer who has EXACTLY what you want, and work every dealer through email. That's how I've bought my last few. Bought one locally, one in Dallas, one in Atlanta, and one in Jacksonville. It's worth the drive for sure.

It's not nescesarly finding the best dealership, it's waiting to see when the best rebates are out.

Honestly if you can wait a few months, wait until Black Friday and get a New 2016 Silverado 1500. The 2017's will be out and they will be pushing to get rid of the last 2016's. Plus with the holiday rebates they do a Black Friday Special Tag on select vehicles.

That's how I bought my 2015. I did get a good price on Memorial Day 2012 when I bought my previous one new.

Courtesy Chevrolet in Broussard and I live in Baton Rouge. Got a hell of a deal down there. Deal was made before I ever rode down there.

I made the unfortunate choice to buy a truck from Robinson Brother's. I will never do it again. I would discourage anyone from buying there.

Houston, I start searching inventory and contacting the internet sales when you find something you want. Internet guys work more on volume and not margin.

As far as trucks go, the Lanes don't mess around.
