I can vouch for St. Jude. Samaritan's Purse is also a good one.

You can’t go wrong with St. Jude

You can also find a local animal shelter or rescue

I couldn’t find a chairty anywhere. But here’s a chai tea that seems ok.

Seriously though, I like donating to Vietnam Veterans of America and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

It is intended to "stimulate" the economy so go spend it at some local businesses.

I’d look for something in your area, like a local church, community group or children’s home. Where are you located?

St. Jude's is great, but everyone gives to them. As for national organizations I would consider the Salvation Army or Shriners Hospitals for Children. Other than those there is always a local church or school that could really use the money.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity! I love St. Jude’s, but last time I donated to them I got so much mail asking for more donations that it seemed like they spent my donation on paperwork and postage.
Maybe try a local food bank or donate gift cards to different people in the community or donate stuff to a nursing home or animal shelter.
