I am beyond wanting a new car every few years as well. Mostly because I honestly don't like any of the cars out right now enough to separate me from the amount of cash they are charging.

In fact most cars - particularly trucks and crossovers - seem to get uglier with every redesign.

That really makes them into something I buy when I need it. Not because I want it. Sort of like a refrigerator or an ink pen.

Yup I like what we have and my wife is happy driving (which is the most important thing besides it being reliable and safe)

I have a pos company truck but free so it's really nice only having one car to deal with.

I hope we keep this thing for at least five more years

You think a 16 year old Honda Accord costs 25k?

You are dumb even by OT standards.

I'm sorry, I meant to say that I have a car to sell you.

while spending that much money on a car is silly, I don't mind paying for luxury and safety

A mustang GT will cost you under $35k.
It's really a nice sporty car for that kind of money.
you could also look at a mustang GT350, but that is getting closer to $60k

Buick is consistently in the top 5 in Consumer Reports for reliability. The Impala was the highest rated full sized sedan they tested.

Are you talking reliability of the new stuff? How do you legitimately grade a new car on its long-term reliability?
