Wolverine 1000 mile boots are amazing. That picture is stupid and looks ridiculous. Those are not "dress" boots and should not be worn with a suit.

There are not very many boots that can be "pulled off" with a suit. Allen Edmonds Daltons are one of them. Also the AE dress boots with the cap toe brogue. Slim silhouette Chelseas are also some - Allen Edmonds Liverpool fit the bill as well as the Thursday Cavalier last.

I usually wear Georgia work boots. I tried Wolverine boots a few months ago and within 2 weeks the inside of the boot above the heel started coming apart. I traded those pieces of shite in for another pair of Georgia boots.

I might try Ariat next time... but Wolverine is fricking garbage

I bought the 1000 mile Luke shoes before they were discontinued...the boot thing has a hitch in it for me. Next pair I’ll do it though.

Should I get the OG 1000 milers or the Evans with the rubber sole?

Tony Lama, I have a pair of black bullhide boots they shine up well. I bought them online 6 years ago. Dan Post Caiman Gatorade boots 6 years old. Bought them at Boots Etc. By Tanger Mall.I have experienced no problem with either pair of boots.

Terrible quality now that they switched manufacturers. My company discontinued our boot program that we had with them because they all started falling apart in 4 months of medium/heavy use.

A couple of years ago Tecovas couldn't get enough up votes on this site. Now they are a bigger brand and are getting shite on in this thread.

Luchesse for dress. I have a pair of Justin original work boots that I have had 24 years. They have scuff marks but clean up decently with a little work. Still comfortable as hell

Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill have been great. Outside of my running shoes they are the most comfortable footwear I own. Weatherproof brown shown below.

I bought some Lucchese ropers that I love. I wear them with everything including suits.

You obviously can’t go wrong with Lucchese but as someone who has multiple pairs of both, Tecovas are a great option. I get more compliments on my desert colored tecovas ropers than I do any other boot. Also, the Pecan ostrich is a good call.

In terms of quality, I’ve had more issues with Lucchese than Tecovas. After several months of heavy wear, a boot strap tore on a pair of Tecovas. I called the company, they asked for a picture, and 2 days later I had a brand new pair at no cost.

Love my Higgins Mill but not for suits. Get Saphir Mahogany for scratches and Bick4 for overall care.

If you are talking about cowboy style boots, probably luchese. If you are talking about boots, then Alden first:

Crockett and Jones Shell Cordovan Harlech

or Coniston

Or Allen Edmonds Daltons Shell Cordovan Burgundy

or calf leather Oxblood
