My Honda got smacked today. Anyone have recent experience with a body repair center in Baton Rouge that will do quality work as quickly as possible?

Parts for everything are on back order. Recently on the receiving end of a hit n run. Went with Team collision. Can’t really say how they compare to anyone else. I know they are a certified Honda shop.

DO NOT GO TO A DEALERSHIP FOR BODY WORK!!! I think Medines and Cavins are both highly regarded and do good work.

Done Cavin’s. Was satisfied. But dang! Parts took forever! I’m talking 3+ months!

Gordon & Sandifer has done body work for me in the past. Very satisfied with their workmanship.

I used the Team Collision center off of Seigen a couple years ago when my wife found the mailbox in her Pilot. They were not quick BUT I grew up in an auto body repair shop family so I’m very picky and particular, noticing every single imperfection in a repair and they did a great job. Sadly the family business is now closed so I went with Team Collision and I was pleasantly surprised with their work. They were very professional but the time it took them to complete the work was outrageously long for a repair that required no parts other than bondo and paint/primer.

My best bet is Chads near Watson. Great work and great people.

Same here. Unfortunately they said couldn’t even start on my car until July.

Medines

The plaintiff attorneys of body shops. They’ll be sure to keep your vehicle for months trying to nickel and dime the insurance company for as much cash as they can.

Bonus points when they convince you that you’re going to get thousands in diminished value when they’re done, but they’ve exhausted the property damage policy limits with their repairs and the rental expenses because they kept your vehicle so long.

Team Collision services all of the Hondas in the area and they work well on them.

If it's another party's insurance paying, make sure they don't screw you because you decide not to choose one of their preferred shops. Have them set up a rental for you at Enterprise on Siegen or Hertz on Airline right around the corner.

had a good experience with medines. person’s insurance who hit me was trying to use aftermarket parts. medines was somehow able to convince them otherwise and car received all oem parts. they have a deserved excellent reputation.

Don’t go to the dealership for bodywork. People think that dealerships are the best, but really people go there learn some, realize dealerships don’t pay shite and leave. Your best body and painters do not work at dealerships period.

Check these out below:

1. Cajun Collision - Todd is the owner over there. He was the manager for Calvin's for 20 years. They do great work. It's next to home depot by Cortana

2. Collison Solutions (the original one by the greyhound station on Florida) - it's a Vietnamese place and does great work.

3. Gordon & Sandifer perkins near Jubans. They've been around forever and do a really good job.

Cavin's was great. But it's been about 20 years so can't say for sure.

I am seeing a handful of people in here saying Cavins. I could not disagree more. When they gave me my truck back it had overspray on the seats and on the frame. The truck reaked of paint on the inside and that smell never went away. I sold that truck a few months later because every time I opened the door it smelled like paint.
