quote:I saw all of these as well. The Warehouse was a dump but I saw ZZ Top. Frampton, Kiss etc there. The outdoor City Park Festivals had good bands (Aerosmith, Clapton, Lynard Skynard, J Geils, etc) but HOT as hell. However the Municipal Auditorium and the Assembly Center (aka PMAC) has the best in that era\. Too many to mention but.....
Peter Frampton ar The Warehouse was the best. Led Zeppelin was good but I don’t remember where it was. FleetwoodMac/Marshall Tucker was the worst in City Park stadium. It was a daytime concert and hot as hell.
1A - Pink Floyd
1B - Led Zepplin

I've probably attended 100 concerts, many back in the 90's when grunge was taking over the scene.
The best experience though, was Pink FLoyd in the Dome in '94. Lets just say I was in the perfect frame of mind for a Floyd show and I was literally speechless for about 3 hours afterwards, partly because of the 'frame of mind' thing.
Nine Inch Nails 'Downward Spriral' tour in 94 was pretty bad arse too. When the curtain dropped for the Hurt video, the entire place went silent and I'm quite sure everyones acid was kicking in right around the same time.
Around that time, Soundgarden was playing at UNO and people kept throwing stuff on stage. Cornell stopped the show and said if one more thing was thrown, the show was over. A few minutes later, a shoe flew on stage and they walked off. WE all agreed to meet in front of the stage to decide where we going to go out afterwards. After about 15 minutes or so, the bad came back out on stage and continued the show. It was a long time ago and time plays with my memory, but it seems like only a 1000 people or so were left for the rest of the show.
Guns N Roses was bad arse too in 1992 in the Assembly Center. I actually camped out for tickets for that show, slept under the pavilion. Had one of my first experiences with a young 'lady' in my sleeping bag too so that show holds a special place in my heart.

I’ll likely be burned at the stake for this, but be never been to a concert. Large crowds freak me out.
Although there are a ton I would have liked to have gone to.
I'm assuming you don't go to LSU football games then.

Was this when they were touring together and Faith No More opened? If so I was at that show and totally agree.
Yep...same show. Axl seemingly lost the crowd when he made some Hurricane Andrew reference. Also, crowd exhausted after Metallica's energy so playing Patience at 1:30am not the best call.

Worst: Van Halen, Centroplex, F.U.C.K. Tour, Dec of 1991
Glad someone else was there and agrees...that show was so disappointing.

Me too, man. Me too.
Comfortably Numb in '94 when the crystal ball popped up out of no where and the all the lasers shined on it, then it started spinning. I was white knuckling my seat wondering how in the hell Pink fricking Floyd made the Super Dome rotate.
Yeah, I was out there....No regrets!

I was there. UNO, 1996. I can confirm the awesomeness.
Up front getting crushed- the most-scared I’ve ever been at a concert.
I was there and felt the same way. It was the only time I actually got scared in a mosh pit. People were jumping and moshing for 200 yards around me, it seemed and I couldn't get out. It was quite the trip, to get out...
