My mom grew up in Corpus Christi. She said as long as she’s been alive Corpus has only been directly hit by a hurricane once. It looks like that trend will continue if it keeps pushing north.

Hate to say this but I think the NHC can go ahead move the cone off of Mexico. All models have adjusted and are all hitting Texas at this point.
