For 2024 rainfall Bush is running 8 inches above normal and 6 inches above last year
Hobby is 2 inches above normal and 8 inches above last year
The Houston area could be running a foot above last year by Tuesday.
I'm hoping some of it gets dragged over North AL. At the house I'm still 4.71" above Normal through June, but I haven't had measurable rain since June 9th. June was front heavy with over three inches in the first week and a half. Things are getting crunchy now. Every pop-up has missed us, sometimes in remarkable fashion.

We're in the 2-4 range and I don't like it!

They pulled back on rainfall totals a bit for the houston area.
Wish we could push that over to the Texas Hill Country and other areas that need it. In Lake Charles, this rain event will push the 2024 total higher than all of 2023. We’re on pace for close for over 85 inches of rain. After a drought year.

This is great info. I would have guessed an even larger variance; this year has seemed very rainy, and last year seemed insanely dry.

im hoping it gets dragged over Bham also so it keeps the heat down. AC went out friday, and currently 86 in the house.

Legend, Duke, Rummy, rds:
What is the latest you’d want to get to Houston tomorrow? Son is here and has to wait for his wife to return from a trip before he heads back to Houston ,also has an 8 month old with them).
What time is the latest that you would leave Lafayette to drive to Houston??

That’s a good thing, we had a long drought and I lost a lot of trees on my property west of Tomball last year. I still need to cut some up if anyone in the Houston area wants some free firewood, you can come cut up as much as you want.
