It’s anti American because the policies are a FAILURE and proven to be a failure for this country. Showing you with threads like this are not meant for you, but others who may embrace your lunacy. You are lost. They are not yet lost.

Just wait, Portland, Oregon is going to drop the hammer of stupidity on you like you read about.

I'll eat a dog if this spreads out of California.

They'd be the first city to ever solve it, but they're run by libruls so let's hold them to that ridiculously high bar.
Well, SF's solution to the homeless problem was a billion dollar tax on businesses to "provide more services" for the homeless. Do you think that will solve the problem or just attract more homeless?

Ah the daily TD gets triggered by a place they say they'll never go/live.
These are dumb, but they'll affect my life 0 as I'll never move to Berkeley.

I hope you have your local chinese place on speed dial, because I guarantee other cities run by progressive idiots are teeing up the legislation right now.
Hell Austin will do something even dumber just to one up Berkeley.

Why stop there? Mandate all buildings have windmills and solar panels.
Posted on 7/18/19 at 10:48 am to LSUlefty
Quick google search says that localities energy company owns huge solar farms in the Mojave.
Posted on 7/18/19 at 10:54 am to Mike da Tigah
So now the utility company will have to use more natural gas in their power plants to generate the electricity to compensate for the added load on the grid because of all electric buildings and homes. There is no way that a utility company can make up the amount of extra load on the grid with renewable energy. It is not feasible. What a bunch of morons. Although they want see this problem until new the grid can’t keep up with the load which will be many years down the road

Don’t forget the poop app, they created the poop app. So that the citizens can help city services locate all the poop and the poop problem can be addressed quicker. Don’t know if it actually improved things though or now people just know where the poop is.
Probably need a vomit app as well, never forget my trip to San Fran. 1st morning I get up and head out for a cup of coffee and was greeted by a bum violently vomiting on the sidewalk. I tell you for the life of me, nothing gets the blood flowing quite like dodging a bum’s chunks 1st thing in the morning. Some say a cold shower, nay homeless projectile vomit is the way to go.

Really hoping New York City adopts the ban on natural gas; preferable the winter before the election.
Posted on 7/18/19 at 11:30 am to Mike da Tigah
For the love of God these progressive libs seriously need to be re-educate by any means necessary. Hopefully the camps are being built as we speak.

Not to delve too deep into the method, but it takes substantially more NG to produce the energy required to replace NG across a city than it does to do the same work with NG appliances. This is assuming they use NG to create the power and not coal. Add in that NG appliances have a longer anticipated life and in general have a smaller carbon footprint during manufacturing, and this is akin to taking the Citation to work because your F150 releases greenhouse gases.

Oh i dunno.
An amazing quality of life the likes of new Orleans has never seen and never will see? Maybe that could be it?

California is a lost cause, and I have no problem with them going as far off the deep end as they wish.
When they start spreading that stupidity like a virus, then I have an issue.
While by and large, the state of Louisiana inches closer to the quality of life of a developing country. We continue to shite on a state that by and large enjoys a quality of life we can't fricking relate to.

The new homes will instead be required to have electric infrastructure. Berkeley councilwoman Kate Harrison, who spearheaded the ordinance, said natural gas is an “enormous issue” when it comes to climate change.
I swear people have no idea how electricity is generated.
