Meanwhile, they have mounds of garbage, needles, and bums covering downtown Berkeley. But, at least we feel good about ourselves!

Is natural gas racist now or something? I always thought it was one of the cleanest forms of energy available.
No you stupid, uneducated country bumpkin.
Natural gas is dirty because you burn it.
Electricity is clean.
You should always want clean electricity.

A simple Google search shows they have been working to address their homelessness problem. It's entirely possible for city governments to work on several different things at one time.

Homelessness problem still not solved.

Well, it’s not as if they are in the dark as to why there are so many needles on the ground and bums all over the place. It’s their own policies at work.

If by "working on it" you mean passing more asinine laws incentivizing more homeless to live there, then sure I guess?

Ah the daily TD gets triggered by a place they say they'll never go/live.
These are dumb, but they'll affect my life 0 as I'll never move to Berkeley.

I seriously don’t know that there’s a bigger hotbed for plain human stupidity than Berkeley California. What could possibly make anyone want to live in such an area unless of course they identified with such lunacy? It’s certainly no place I’d want to actually live my life. It just barely resembles America, and I mean just barely, or in name only perhaps

Natural gas is still the single largest source of electrical power generation in California. Not sure about the bay area specifically.
I think this is maybe well-intended but insanely short sighted. On its face at least, and just reading the quotes in the OP.
And there's a refinery about 20 minutes north of Berkely.
This is virtue signalling. Who cares? It's par for the 2019 course.

Ah the daily edgy TH03 post. It’s weird, I never see you actually bashing these ideas on threads like these, only the posters bashing them.
None of us are necessarily mad about this Berkeley thing, just pointing out its inherent stupidity.

It is weird that you're 24 and can't read. I called them dumb and said it's virtue signalling.

So you didn't read OP?

They'd be the first city to ever solve it, but they're run by libruls so let's hold them to that ridiculously high bar.

The only thing I’m motivated by is the need to kill the liberal plague with fire so it doesn’t spread to the rest of Free America. For all I care, that place can fall into the ocean or secede and become a gigantic bankrupt third world, but only after it has all of the nutballs in the rest of the country migrate there and fail with them.

"My team of politicians who don't GAF about me >>> yours"
How anti american to want the opinions you don't agree with to be stomped out.
And to clarify for the kid, this is a stupid policy especially since it will likely have a net change of natural gas consumption of 0.

I don't need to Google. I was there recently. They're not doing one single meaningful thing to solve the bum problem, nor the massive amounts of garbage and needles all over the place. These people are demagogues that solve irrelevant problems yet let the open sores right in front of them fester because no one has the balls to do what's really best for the local population.
Posted on 7/18/19 at 10:34 am to Mike da Tigah
California can’t fall into the ocean quick enough

That's all well and good, but you and I both know this type of stupidity tends to spread to other areas like some virtue-signaling plague of dumb.
