Those really aren't that far off, some exist right now that'll carry a passenger. The "affordable" part of that may be a while though, and no telling what the range is like on one.

Back to the Nexus - I would probably be a LOT more comfortable with it if I were the one in control of it.

I know recreational drones have all sorts of badass features now, the one I bought for $30 will do all sorts of cool stuff and fly itself. That being said, just get on YouTube and look for "drone crash." There's hundreds of videos of $1000+ drones completely biting it.

Really expensive way to verify that we can't have nice things. I fully expect some idiots to try to "frick with it" and make themselves crash - followed by a huge lawsuit that bankrupts the company.

That or some genius will hack a fleet of them and have them doing synchronized dances in the sky and shite on YouTube within a week

I work right down the street from their facility in Euless(not sure exactly what it’s is.. I think offices and training facility). Maybe they can fly me home in the afternoon so I can avoid 820 and 35W...
