Props to the family for releasing that statement and taking accountability. It appears they allude to Zhontay being a paranoid schizophrenic.

Bus driver in Philly is pretty low on the list of jobs I would enjoy.

Raised by grandma. I absolutely never would have guessed.

I wonder who wrote that for the Capers family.

We clearly didn't read the same letter. What part of "we didn't know about this" and "the system failed her" screamed accountability to you?

. I’ll guarantee that letter was drafted by a lawyer and that the family had zero input.

That's a hell of a statement from the family. That wasn't easy to write. RIP guy just trying to make ends meet.

No person with any education pass the 6th grade would start a letter or statement with the word "Firstly..."

That statement is to shift blame and setup a plea of insanity to get her off.

They summed it up with “the system failed her”. Accountability would be her parents raising her correctly, not her grandma. But they skipped right past that step and said whoops, I guess the state, who we depend on to take care of our offspring failed her.

Is that what passes for taking accountability these days or did you just not read it through?

No, you just didn't read it correctly. They never said anything about not knowing about her condition; in fact, they stated fully well that they were aware she was suffering a mental breakdown but were unable to get her taken in anywhere, which is a pretty common issue. It's possible to express an apology and accountability while also expressing frustration at a broken mental health system.

At the end of the letter, the family expesses their wish for the woman to get help "once Justice is fully served." Clearly, the family understands she must be punished for her actions.

He really did.
He's making a ton of $$ nowadays. Probably won't catch will. But, who cares.
He's got a nice family.
Golfs.
Does cool Disney shite.

Meanwhile, Will's wife disrespects him.
His kids are disasters.
He's a broken man..

The last paragraph negates everything. Saying that the mental health system failed her daughter and that the system is rigged.

frick that family. Blaming others.
