while inconsiderate, they are not blocking your path. Or do you not see the rows of chairs in front of them?

THIS! And set your tent(s) up right in front. Also, the next evening should be spent setting up a playlist of lewd and obscene rap music to be played so they can hear.

You’re not setting up directly in front of them anyway. You’ll have to go left or right at some point.

This thread is full of people who apparently set up directly in front of the boardwalk access no matter what.

Some years we’ve done the rentals and some brought our own, or a mix. I like the setup with 2-3 canopies because of max shade, but we always go about 50 yards to the left or right of the main path off the boardwalk, wanting to avoid as much foot traffic around as possible.
Seems like this May be part F you to the rules.

Worse are the assholes who set up right in front of the people who are renting the umbrella and chairs.

Not sure I see the issue, far enough from end of ramp and back off the water. There's actually another umbrella set up closer to the ramp.

Pro tip - stop bringing the cart and everyone else will have to take stuff down too

It is definitely inconsiderate and they probably....I stress probably because you never know these days.....have no idea that it's inconsiderate or why.
If been at complexes in Destin where there are signs about no tents past this point but in my memory that point is closer to the beach not the pier. Could be wrong.
But first thing is to as the hotel/condo administration if it is against any rules or protocol and if so ask if they can talk to him.
Otherwise a confrontation is the only way deal with it if it bothers you enough to do so.
I personally would walk around, I need the exercise, but my wife would definitely go talk to the staff and might even confront them herself therefore involving me.

Yeah I would YTAH on that one. It’s not like you can’t veer a little to the right and get around them.

You go pay $40 a day for two chairs and one of them sissy blue umbrellas. Imma sit under my tent, me.

They're not really blocking the ramp. But anyone packing that many tents/people to the beach is bound to be pure trash
An extended family of 15 or so people can’t go on a beach vacation together without being trashy? Some of you people are so damn weird

I know the human garbage redneck side of my wifes family is taking a huge beach trip around now...and this is 100% something they would do...but some of those tents look way too nice to be shite they own

For the cost of a grouper sandwich at AJ's, I can have my chairs and umbrellas already set up for me, and broken down for me. Also, the nicer places have an umbrella boy that goes around adjusting people's umbrellas throughout the day as the sun moves. Those get tipped.
I used to be one of those 10x10 guys too. I make too much money now to deal with that shite.

Considerate people have spatial awareness of their surroundings
I've been going to Destin every year for 10+ years and it amazes me each year how dumb/unaware/selfish people are. It gets worse every year to the point we are considering not even going next year.
I wouldn't even say that our area is crowded, but the amount of people who are inconsiderate of others around them and only looking out for themselves is disheartening to say the least. And if you try to reason with them they usually are too dumb to understand so they resort to threats.
It's sad to realize that in today's world what used to be considered normal, decent behavior has quickly shrunken to the minority way of thinking.
