re: Baws, what is a reasonable boat note?

Last fall's hurricane in the Caribbean showed a chowder of boat in a harbor. Many of them were probably owned with notes and the owners expected to meet most of their note with rentals.

This sort of charter fleet sales used to be heavily marketed at the bigger blue water boat shows (Miami Beach's spring show comes to mind.)

If you cant buy a boat outright, you really can't afford it.

It’s like we tell people here, if you think your boat is going to get cozy in your driveway for what turns out to be in excess of 30 days, be prepared to pay the ultimate price. No one needs a boat. They're only for the military.

Couple of guys I went to high school with who are both ensign first class with the Cajun Navy have Gator Tails and outdrives fitted with 240G turrets on the bow, spotlights, and a drone landing pad over the port side ice chest(Yeti) bench. Those guys aren’t leaving their rigs in the driveway, I’ll put it to you like that.
