The VP Jugs are technically to be used for off road racing fuel only, thus, they are not subject to all of the EPA/Nanny Government BS that turns regular gas cans into frustrating pieces of crap.

They have wide mouths on the jugs and a vent cap like old gas cans used to have. That is why you are probably seeing them pop up everywhere. There are no buttons to push to release fuel, no annoying collars to push or pull back, it just works like a gas can SHOULD work.

I have one myself, but mine stays in my outdoor storage shed when not in use. The only problems with them, is that they are huge. They can hold 6 Gallons and can be a bit unwieldy to use when filling something like a mower.

Seems to be an odd thing to notice or wonder about.

Not ashamed to say I can't work my new gas can. Have to unscrew and take the safety contraption off just to fill my lawn mower

ALL OF THIS!!!
Been using one of these for 15 years or so. The only time it’s in my truck is to and from the gas station.

This. I've always had them around for motorcycles, but years back when the EPA killed normal cans I went to them exclusively. Search Amazon for "utility" cans or jugs and there are some nice options even in 2 gallon size.

This.

Got sick and tired of holding a 5gal can for an hour to empty into the bike/mower, sick of the BS contraptions to make them pour (that also leak) ect ect ect.

Spent the money bought two VP cans. I can empty all 5 gallons out of my VP can in less than a minute while not fighting some overly engineered pour system that never fails to leak or cause a spill.

Some will pay the higher price convenience, I think this is one of those things.

I agree, I'm about to get a second one for diesel when I acquire a new tractor in the next couple of months. it's worth the investment IMO.

I won't go back to regular consumer cans unless its one of my older ones before the EPA nonsense.
