Why can’t they make a cell phone battery last longer than 6-8 hours before needing to be charged, but they can make the batteries that go in my child’s toy last YEARS even if they play with the noise making toy ALL day???

Tech board?

Check your Battery report in settings to make sure nothing is running in the background.

Buy a portable charger to extend life, about $12 at Best Buy.

Architecture for rechargeable battery is different than for regular batteries but that is all I know about it.

The power requirements for an iphone must be relatively enormous.

Be honest, stop playing with your kid’s toys.

You have a shitty cell phone. My phone has the largest battery put in a cell phone.
I can ruin Waze and pandora all day and still not charge into the end of the night.

S8 Active.

Battery life is amazing. 12 hours of rigorous work on Tigerdroppings as well as videos/music/gifs from around the web.

48% at the end of the day.

If your phone is getting old then likely it is a result of age and not design.

Your son's toys don't play porn videos, at least I hope it doesn't.

Yeah same battery, I got one of those, but gave it to the wife and got a S7 instead. I need tactile buttons. I'm wearing gloves half the time I use the thing.

Is this a serious question?
Watt do you think is required to power a small LED, speaker and a small circuit board vs wifi chip, LCD touch screen, GSM chip, processor among a ton of other things, most of which are always on.

Ask Samsung what happens when you try to create a battery that lasts longer and trying to go against the physics of battery vs size vs usage......

Well, I knew Lithium Polymer batteries were a bad idea for phones, when my lipo batteries say "do not charge indoors" on them and one already caught on fire charging.

Being the target of all 17, no wait a minute, 21, yeah 21 Intelligence Services is using your battery up fast.

The spyware, the keystroke loggers, the active audio and video surveillance using your own phone, the GPS tracking with constantly updating all 21.

Surprising you get more than 1-2 hours usage really.

Aw hell, said too much again...gotta run!

Its a conspiracy by the battery conglomerate to hold back technologu, forcing you to get new batteries, or charging bricks, etc. Similar to the light bulb situation when they first came out.
