Makes you wonder what the real murder count is for BR in years past doesn't it?

That he doesn’t work for the Mayor-President. Nor is he, or his party, in the business of making her look good.

but the coroner. Come on. If he/she can't tell why someone died, needs to be demoted to fry cook.

Hmm, so you're telling me there's a fry cook at McDonald's with a chance to be coroner?

How does this even happen?

When I was in college, a friend of a friend was killed in a weird car wreck. Just ran off the road and into a house. So they send him to the funeral home and send the truck to the impound lot. So his roommate starts thinking about it and remembered the guy always kept a handgun in his console. So he wants to retrieve the gun so it doesn't get stolen out of the lot. While he's there going through the truck he sees a bullet hole in the door.

Calls the cops. The cops call the funeral home. They undress him and discover the bullet hole under his armpit. They do an autopsy and retrieve the bullet.

About three years later there's another murder when two guys start arguing over a parking spot. For whatever reason the detective has a hunch and ends up matching the two bullets to the same gun. The guy admits to shooting the guy three years earlier in a road rage inciodent.

Yet, when the coroner and these detectives testify in other trials about crime scenes and the cause of death, their testimony will be lapped up by jurors.
