Had a similar issue with a Ford. Engine would all but die with barely any power and rattle severely which set off the power train alert. Started it back up and limped in to a mechanic. The throttle body was identified as the issue.

quote:You have a lot to learn about Louis at AGCO. Most arrogant and expensive shop in Baton Rouge. I did not know K & M did transmission work, but Jason is a good honest guy. There is Budget Transmission on Airline who is the one I would recommend. Morris on South Choctaw is good but man that place stays slammed with business.
Sounds like either Agco or K and M will treat us right and will diagnose rather than just start with the big ticket repair.

Damn…lol. I’ve been a customer of theirs for 30 years and never had to bring a vehicle back b/c a problem wasn’t diagnosed and repaired properly. I’ve never come across more courteous, friendly and helpful staff & technicians.
But people who know what they are talking about often come across as arrogant to those that don’t. Expensive, certainly no more than dealership, but highly trained professionals aren’t cheap in any field.
And no I’m not related to anyone that works at AgCo…… just been a customer for a long time…….

Another vote for Louisiana Transmission on Plank. Ed is a second generation transmission mechanic and knows his stuff.

I had a transmission rebuilt a year and a half ago by CAPS and they were great... but I had to wait for 6 months for them to get to it because they are backed up and positively slammed with work.

Same thing happen to our 2015 escape ..
Had to get it rebuilt… $4,500 for rebuilt one….dealer wanted $9k to put a new one in
Google 6F35 transmission they’re junk
Issues start around 80K miles
Transmission service connection on plank took about 3 days to get it back from him

They will put a new Jasper transmission in, but most likely will not re-build a transmission. I'd call to verify but I looked into this awhile back.

This is correct, but you're probably still looking at a couple weeks to get it on the lift.
