Was he a stand-in for the Village People?

Had a class with him at LSU. Very nice gentleman.

Yes, Baton Rouge icon! Monday morning March, “Little Rascals”, Popeye, Senor Puppet, etc. Raised money for Baton Rouge Zoo’s first elephant named “Penny” because kids donated change on his show. Being on his show for your birthday was a big deal!

Sid Crocker was the best PA announcer at The PMAC, ever.

Everybody in my age range should remember him. I knew his son Bucky back in college. My dorm roommate was a Broadmoor guy and they were friends.

Yeah old Buckskin Bill Black.
He was a nice guy my nephew and younger sister likes to watch that show. Oh yeah they use to look forward to the Monday Morning March.
Ole beachcomber, Bob Scare was a nice guy that had a serious drinking problem. My grandfather had a camp at Old River. I spent a week there in the summer with my grandfather. One time Bob offered to take me on the boat to show me how to Scaliat fish. My grandfather was not real excited about it at the end of the day he let me go.
Bob showed me a lot of tricks to catching the Old River Scaliat and bass.
Very nice man he just had issues with the liquor. It was a different time back then.

By me picking him for the 2018 Celebrity Death Pool to get the 1st right answer. It can be verified.

His son was Michael Jackson's personal Chef at Neverland.
What is the name of your book? I would be interested in reading it. I remember what happened and always thought your dad was pretty badass for what he did. Truly a legend.

I loved Buckskin Bill. I was on his show once when I was in 1st grade. My neighborhood raised money for a charity. I got to meet him and give the money we donated.

He attended my great uncles funeral several years ago.
Everyone there age 30 and older was in awe of that man and wanted to talk to him about how they watched or were on his show.
He took it all in stride and was very genuine in thanking them and saying how happy that made him.
It must be really something to be loved and adored by so many people in such a wide age range.

He was always the King of the Mardi Gras white parade in New Roads and threw mini Holsum breads. That was the primo throw at that parade in the mid ‘70s.
