Anthony’s moved out this way. Place is so damn good. And the people who run it are so nice.
Ms. Marie and her son Marco run it like before. Her daughter works there too. Good people
Nurse, I'd treat you to a plate of spaghetti

Anyone remember Duffs Smorgasbord on Corporate Boulevard?

Used to be located next to Broadmoor Presbyterian. I believe the old Naylor's building is now part of the church.
The Book Warehouse used to be an A&P.

Hubcap Heaven on Florida and McGehee Dr.
I worked there in high school around 95.
I washed brake dust off of used hubcaps with acid for something like $7/hr cash. Thought I hit the jackpot. I got the gig from my best bud when he started working at his mom's restaurant in St Francisville.
Brings back a ton of memories of him. We convinced his mom to let us renovate an old slave shack behind her restaurant to live in our senior year while we worked in the kitchen at night. Get up at 6am and drive to Braodmoor High, high.
I also had jobs at Eckerds and Sicily's.

One of the most underrated restaurants ever in BR. It was cheap, the food was awesome, and there was no such thing as a wait.

Mr. Culotta/Cullota was the manager of that National. He was always really nice to the kids.

Mr Pitts was the manager of the Eckerds for 20 something years. I got held up at gunpoint one night when he was back in his office sleeping. After he got what he wanted, I had to go to the back and wake Mr Pitts up and tell him what happened. He came and sat at my house down the street after we locked up. Mom gave him a beer and I've never seen someone suck a beer down that fast. He never fell asleep at work again.
Crazy, I worked in the Pharmacy in high school. Counting pills, inputting scripts into the old computer, everything you need some sort of license to do today.

At one time, there was about 3 or 4 different music stores: Werlein's, Ziegler's, Mike Noto drums, etc.
Sound Warehouse next to Fun Fair Park
I believe further down Florida going towards Livingston Parish was an old school Lowe's (smaller, not as big box as it is today)
