It was an A&P, a Super Fresh, and a Kroger.

My grandmother lived right behind that Howard Brothers. We would walk out the back gate and go to the Bros.

I was wondering if someone was going to mention this. I bought my first CD player there. I still remember being amazed at the digital sound...

It's now the Baton Rouge Council on Aging building.
I think it was a Globe or a Gibson's store before it became Howard Brothers.
What was originally in the building between Sears and Wilson's on the corner of Ardenwood and Florida? It eventually became a flea market, but I can't remember what it was before that.

Can't remember - it was Durnin, Durban or something like that.
Wasn't a very large one.

They were AK Durnin Chrysler Plymouth. Was on Florida close to where Gerry Lane Chevy is now.

When Plymouth ceased production, AK took on the Jeep line too.

Anybody remember the waterslide on the left, heading to Denham? When was that ever open? I used to think "I want to go down that!" as a little kid. Across from a Al Azar Grotto (sp?)
