Near the 10/12 split off of Jefferson is a great place to work and very centrally located to pretty much anywhere you want to live in south BR.
Since UClub is interesting to you, you'll have minimal trouble getting home by shooting straight down Bluebonnet or taking Essen/Staring to Burbank. And really, if traffic is that backed up, go to Airline then Siegen/Burbank extension. Kind of a round about route, but may be faster overall.
Anything down Highland Rd. should be relatively easy, as well. It's truly a great spot to work, as you have multiple "escape" options, lol. Most of the roads connect in some way.
Just know that after school and early evening traffic in BR is awful M-F, so you will need to research alternate routes. And yes, you may actually use Wayz to get home from time to time.

Springlake is fine. It is a tier below most of the neighborhoods listed in this thread. But it is fine.
I don’t think it’s reasonably priced.. but it is all relative. Pretty much everything is higher in BR than it should be currently.
ETA: Fairhill is directly across Bluebonnet from Springlake and is a slightly better spot to be as it is further away from Gardere.

Seems to be reasonably priced and appears like a decent neighborhood. Anything I am missing?

Known for being Baton Rouge's "deed restricted" whites-only neighborhood before that became illegal.
Pretty sure the original paperwork on our house in University Acres has that in it too.

Anyone have thoughts on Springlake area off of Bluebonnet? Considering for a rental until we can find the right house. Seems to be reasonably priced and appears like a decent neighborhood. Anything I am missing?
It's a bit cookie cutter, but it is perfectly fine for what you describe. You'll be safe and it's certainly not ill kept or anything.

How do you have those amenities without an HOA
