Consent decree is part of the problem with importing outside law enforcement.

Many people good and bad in New Orleans and Baton Rouge are carrying guns. Act accordingly.

know him. Closer to his brother. Neither brother backdown from anything.

His 3 kids and family will wish he could’ve toned down the testosterone and just walk away. Very different world and country vs growing up in 70s or 80s.

Burgundy is no go for me. Not really going to be on Dauphine after dark. NOLA is fine if you know what you're doing.

As I’ve always said, other than the Goldmine, there is zero reason to be on that side of Bourbon IMO

Burgundy @ Conti. About 50 years ago my brother and I were taking my old dad to a game at the Dome. Got caught in traffic behind a cab. Guy walked up to the cab, handed the cabbie some money and took a bag, no doubt a dope deal.

My brother blew the horn and the guy outside the cab walked back to our car and hit my brother through the rolled down window.

I got out and waxed his arse to the point an ambulance had to be called to haul him off. About a half dozen black officers showed up, understood the deal, and told me to go. Their supervisor, a white guy showed up and said no, hell no, that guy was going to have to have stitches, so they took me in.

The street cops could not have been nicer. They knew this punk needed his arse kicked. So we got to the precinct and before they could book me in my brother called some judge buddy of his and he told the cops to "parole" me. Little did I know that a public official in the City of New Orleans had the power to parole without bond a misdemeanor charged person..

I walked out and never heard anymore of it.

Burgundy @ Conti will forever be remembered.

Up until about 10 years ago NOPD didn’t frick around in the quarter. They would beat the hell out of trouble makers in a heart beat.

I used to LOVE watching Mardi Gras videos from the 90s. They would surround MFers and beat them to a pulp then drag them to the meat wagon

Yep. I watched a cop on a horse grab a guy by his hair and drag him down the block. He may have “accidentally” hit a pole. LOL

First time I went down to the quarter as a teen, my dad told me the one rule was don’t ever mess with NOPD no matter what.

I’m smart enough to never frick with cops but I was always told never frick with their horses.

The city is truly dangerous. People can defend Nola all they want, however you’re surrounded by people who have nothing to lose and will kill you over a disagreement. It’s the same MO for Baton Rouge as well.
