Eh not really. It's a matter of decorum. Honestly I'd get more pissed about someone calling my wife racial slurs than myself. End of the day, though, it really just depends on how you react to it. If someone calls you that, they're obviously angling to get a rise out of you. But I'm not a marionette--I don't have to dance just because they're pulling strings.

Meh it was just some drunk texas fan who was pissed A&M had beaten them in their own crib. Dude's friends suppressed him pretty quickly and apologetically. I was just laughing that the liquor loosed his tongue. Gotta hold your liquor better than that

You know one characteristics of a racist? They will always consider someone of a different race less educated or ignorant. Because they are truly threatened by the presence of that person's ability to provoke. I'm flattered you are threaten by me.

You sir, are an adult. I commend you.
Question: I've always been of the belief that 98% of all racial slurs said in anger were based on the whole "im so irrationally mad at you i want to hurt you, and this is the thing i think will hurt you" idea (e.g. Riley Cooper, Michael Richards). In that i dont think these people are racists, just angry people looking to hurt their targets.
The times you've been called that, do you think "this guy hates black people" or "this guy is really trying to rile me up"?

quote:It's not a contradiction at all. I'm only explaining his lack of comment due to people doubting her for 2 reasons: no one else heard it and she's a felon. Has nothing to do with him being a judge. I just said that to preempt my comment about him not being dumb.
Contradiction much. He is a judge no witnesses by default she is lying.

Lol innocent to proven guilty what about she is a liar until the judge comes out issues an apology.

Little bit of both. Usually more of the former than the latter.
I mean, obviously there's some racism issues going on subconsciously that they'd even go there to begin with. That's undeniable. No matter how mad I get at a person, I don't reference their ethnicity in my indignation. Just doesn't make sense to me, tbh.
But yeah the actual usage, from what I've seen, is just a vehicle to express said subconscious racism in as provoking a manner as possible. It's a last verbal resort of someone who lacks control. If that swing of their misses its mark or gets otherwise summarily dismissed, it's over twofold--you've "won" the encounter and usually shamed/outed them in the process.

blah blah LSU_Saints_Hornets is the OT's version of Gravy Chambers.
So, do i have this right? here's some cliff notes from what I understand:
- Old a-hole drunk Judge loses "his seat" at Sammy's bar
- Probably gets upset about and makes a few remarks about it
- A known felon manufactures him using the "n-word"
- She (or one of her friends?) then calls the cops
- Cops arrive and no witnesses are willing to say they heard the Judge say the "n-word"
- No one from the Sammy's staff is willing to say they heard the Judge say the "n-word"
- She then runs to facebook to further exaggerate and slander the Judge
- Gravy Chambers picks up on this
- Gravy Chambers gets her side of the story. Doesn't call the Judge or his office for a comment. Waits a full day to even bother calling Sammy's to get a comment. Then publishes an article never using the verbage "alleged" or "claimed". Printing it as a undeniable fact.
- Gravy Chambers then rallies his NBR Facebook sheep into a tizzy. Demanding that the Judge step down. And that his previous cases involving African Americans be reviewed.
- Then when the Advocate/WAFB/WBRZ do actual journalist work on the story by getting the full unbiased story, comments from involved parties, and publish a fair article. Gravy Chambers then cries that his website, which has 0 credibility, isn't given credit for the story.
So far, the outcome is:
- Judge banned from Sammy's (confirmed)
- Gravy's website gets a few extra clicks (supposedly)
- Felon has now removed her post regarding the confrontation and has remained quiet since. (confirmed)
IMO, this is all a stunt to drive Gravy's biased agenda. Meanwhile possibly ruining one man's career.

Like I said in the other thread yesterday, if the victim is a certain race, gender, etc., we have now deemed they are beyond reproach for some odd reason. Same thing as campus rape allegations. Questioning the story or possible motives of the "victim" is strictly taboo.

i thought the problem with white people was that they're "always worried about some shite that don't concern them"?
you don't know the judge, and you don't know the woman. why are you so concerned?

You must really like my metaphor. Using it as your own. APPROPRIATION!!!
Can you be a parrot and a dog at the same time? I wonder...

I see you've picked up a thesaurus and dictionary in the last few minutes. Your verbiage and sentance structure is much improved over just 30 minutes ago. Are you trying to white wash your "hoodness"? Or are you finally coming to terms that you sound like a bumbling idiot with a 5th grade vocabulary?

You missed the part where the judge didn't proclaim his innocence.

Obama called me a cracker.
I heard it with my own two ears. Since he hasn't come out and denied it, it OBVIOUSLY is fact.
Obama is racist.
