When I was a kid I had a hockey puck land in my drink during a kingfish game. I wasn’t even looking at the game when it happened.

Must be why they have ice skating this weekend. Probably won't go to the River Center to watch them, but if they can play somewhere in Ascension or Livingston, I'm down.

That would be awesome, the Seawolves are coming back to Biloxi. It was great having all of the hockey teams on I10 from Pensacola to Lafayette

It’s a lot of fun to watch in person. We used to go to the Houston Aeros games.

I’d be excited to support this. However, I don’t see how the economics of this work out in a city like BR. The owners would be lucky to turn a profit without significant corporate backing.

Looks like the new team will be in the FPHL. Same league as the new Biloxi team. Was hoping for at least the NAHL.
It also says that the press conference is happening at 2pm, but I cant find a link anywhere.

I caught the last part of the owner’s Part of the PC. Same owner of the Biloxi team (maybe he owns the whole league- wasn’t quite sure about that part). Sounds like there will be 3 games this year. I didn’t catch all the specifics but possibly other teams playing in the games to gauge interest. Depending on the response to these three games will determine if they go ahead with a full time team in the market. He said that’s been his MO in all his markets and it has worked in those places. Didn’t sound like any other teams in LA right now.

Sucks but this was inevitable. They weren't going to give us another ECHL team sadly.
