Yes that doesn't sound correct. Calibers can be mounted on many platforms, and 99% of people have no idea other than what they see on TV, so it's hard to say w/o official medical confirmation. A 7.62X39 round is large
and powerful and does leave a large wound channel. However, most of the available ammo is FMJ and it doesn't expand like HPJ, which would benefit the poor kid that was shot. Hope he recovers and the perp is brought down before it happens again.

Calling a city a shite hole that has a majority Black politicians running it would be an example of privilege correct?

Yes. The fact it is, in fact, a shithole is irrelevant.

Regular reminder not to do this. Even if you think you can or have someone to drive you.
Ambulances know what hospitals have what capabilities at what time of day, and will radio in to verify no capacity or personnel issues. Maybe the trauma surgeon has his hands full and you need a helicopter ride to another city.
Eg, Lots of shootings have been driving themselves to the North BR satellite ER, which usually has 1 EM doc, maybe a couple of mid-levels, and 2-6 nurses.
2 such shootings showed up at the same time on Christmas night.
They can't help much if you're shot, and you'll end up pulling resources away if you need to be transferred. Or will essentially shut the place down for the night if you bleed out in front of the entrance.
And getting transferred vs just getting picked up by EMS opens a can of worms of regulations and liability issues that will just further delay you getting to where you need to go.
In the case at hand, you want to get away from a bad situation, but go to the fire station that's right there or the nearest open business and seek help.

Might be hard to accomplish. Balis connects the College Drive Walmart and Southtowns shopping Center with tenants like the Bulldog, Spectrum Fitness, Phil’s Oyster Bar, etc.
The north part of Balis dead ends at I-10 the picks up on the south side of the highway. Just don't cross over Perkins were it turns in to Stuart Avenue. We can't have folks getting shot in Southdowns.

Absolutely. 100% better to sit around waiting for an ambulance to find you. But wait, they won't come near you until the police arrive first and tell them it's safe. They will stage nearby. And we know how overloaded BR is with extra cops. So it's so much better to just wait and bleed than to go to a facility with people who you know are trained to stop it. We wouldn't want that.
That comment is WAY off. If an ambulance is right there, then yes, ride in the ambulance. If the fire station is a block away, go there and get in the ambulance. Hang around on the side of the road and hope they find you before the dude who just shot you? GTFO.

So we going to add crime data to food delivery apps now?

I wonder if they had to wait for the covid test results before treating his wounds. Just in case.

Gravy was planning a protest, not because a teen was shot but because it was his food.

That road behind Walmart and Albertsons. Runs parallel to College Drive.
This will be a big story. Baton Rouge needs to get it’s shite together.
