Back of the napkin math 2.6 oz of PURE Fentanyl COULD kill 35,000 adults HOWEVER the police don't know the concentration, a lab will tell them it is probably cut to shite. I have never seen it outside of patches, and you cut the patches to size for the dosage, well some of them, some were like .1mg in 24 hour type dosages in one patch.
We get around criminals selling stuff like Fentanyl in unknown concentrations and quantities if we just legalize drugs. The Drug war is stupid. It is just as dumb as the war on alcohol was.

A good idea would be a “test patch” for fentanyl. Take a small amount of whatever you’re supplied, put it on the patch to check the potency. Of course the addicts wouldn’t wait for the test patch results.
Medical fentanyl patches are what 25-100 mcg/hr x 72 hrs? So up to 2.4 mg/day (in opioid non-naive patients). Of course that is transdermal and not IV. 30 grams in an ounce. 2.6 oz would be 78 grams. If pure fentanyl, that’s a lot.
