On a 4 wheeler. This has got to be a new low.

Paul and crew have lost complete control of this city.

quote:

It was around 6:45pm on Friday, Oct. 7th when two people were shot outside a barber shop at Elm Dr. & Winbourne Ave. in north Baton Rouge. The two made it about a mile on Elm Dr. before they crashed after they were shot. Officers found the two victims outside of the crashed vehicle. Both victims had gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital. The victims said they were shot by someone on a 4 wheeler.

I had cousins that lived on Elm very near Winbourne close to what was back then, a Blue Ribbon market. I lived right behind that Blue Ribbon on St. Katherine then (around 1973/74). Those were fun, safe , great neighborhoods back then. I wonder what changed ?? (insert sarcasm). Everything about north Baton Rouge.........at that time I went to Howell Park elementary. Also North Highlands...you?

Did they ever have any control to start with?

Seriously. Idaho Falls and Pocatello, ID seem like great places to live. The evening news is NOTHING like what we see here every day.

Haven’t been there in winter though.

There was a guy riding a dirt bike down Brightside a few day ago waving a gun in the air like it was to the beat of a song.

I didn't realize it was a pistol until we crossed each other.

I loved that Blue Ribbon store during the early 80’s. My mom lived off Hollywood Street. Is that Piggly Wiggly still open on Plank Road ?

I’d bet my life savings he came from TigerLand.

I’d rather take my chances with the snow than the wild animals dragging their sacks on Louisiana.

That’s what happens when you intentionally neuter and destroy your city’s police department.

I know exactly where all of this happened. Once upon a time I had two sets of aunts/uncles/cousins who lived on Elm Drive and another that lived on Linden Street right around the corner, all within walking distance of Howell Park, where we spent many a happy day in the playground and on the ball fields. We used to hang out on Elm Street and wait for the ice cream truck to come around.

This was 1979-1982ish. I know nothing is forever, but it is sad what that area has become.

Forget about that. Remember that National supermarket around that area? You could get any Chek-flavored drink your mind could ever imagine.

Were those involved of a darker pigmentation? A darker hue then one would find at BYU?
