Cost shouldn't really be a problem.
Not sure if it would meet your needs.
The kitchen area is small and not great for galas and charity events.

To the OP, find the most expensive place and rent there. Ultimately you wanna pay to be away from the riff raff. Even the moderately priced places are full of trash because they pile in and are subsidized.
Yep. You arent paying for a “nice” apartment you are paying for “nice” neighbors

Of course not, people that really have money don’t care about the cost of things and spend their money without much care.
Are there really many apartments in Baton Rouge for which a single physician would look anything but downright frugal renting? I'm hard pressed to think of any offhand.

Will be working as a physician at OLOL
What specialty if any? Also what location? Near the hospital? Ymca plaza? Might determine best options.

Just general medicine. Would like to live as close to the hospital as possible preferably.

Resident or real deal?

The real thing. Mainly wanna feel the job out and just rent for a year or two and may buy a house after if I really love the job.

If you're ok with a couple of roommates.

Will be working as a physician at OLOL. Late 20s. Don't have a family so I can afford pretty much anything in the city I'd imagine.
There's good apartments right down the road from OLOL.
Mansions in the Park.
7250 Perkins Road
Nice and secure tucked away from road. I lived here. It's quiet.

El Cid made me the man I am today
Same. I was at a poker tournament in there back in 2008. We were all smoking inside and guns ended up being drawn at another table. Felt like the wild west.

there are some apartments on Menlo Drive behind Roberts Fresh market that looked pretty nice when I lived in that area. 5 minutes from OLOL. They used to be owned by Nick Saban.

This...not El Cid. I think they were just messing with you.
And you are close to work.

Buy a small house. It’s cheaper than any half-decent apartment these days.

if cost isn't a problem, why not just go ahead and own a home, if you are going to be here for a while... I can help you out with that.... let me know if you are interested and I'll give you my contact information

The Addison is nice behind the mall. Know a few people who live there.

Dawson Park, brand new apartment complex going up between Picardy and Mancuso behind BR General. They are leasing already, I think they are expecting to open within the next month or 2.

Is it pretty impressive for someone to be a practicing physician in their 20s? That seems like it would be rare given the need for undergrad, medical school, and then residency.

I have an apartment I am trying to sublet in the Lodges. If interested, give me an email address and I will get you the details.
ETA: willing to pay part of the rent just to get out of the lease.
